1700 kilometres in 4 days: I'm BACK!

My plans were to see the south west of Norway, with all of it's stunning fjords, famous roads and incredible scenery. But a low pressure area hanging over Norway caused a long period of continuous rain and low visibility so I decided I had to leave this part of Norway for another time! Let's chase the SUN!

  • What an incredible journey you are on Noraly. I would love to travel around the world, there are so many Beautiful countries to visit and places to see. I still have so many video's to catch up on as i have only just found you. Each video has great content, enthusiasm and of coarse your smile of so much happiness ((-_-))

  • So strange seeing a passport control in Denmark... Both Norway and Denmark are within Schengen, and the Scandinavian countries has a separate border deal, at least making it easier for Scandinavians to cross the borders without a passport, but all that is tossed to the wind right now, it seems...

  • Varelevering -> Vare = Ware. Levering = Delivery. Delivery of wares (to the shops). Yep, you broke the law... xD Looks like an honest mistake, though, so probs the cops won't bother with it. Oslo is infamous for being confusing even for Norwegian drivers, due to many one-way roads and horrible signage.

  • The coolest place I've driven was in Serbia, and the border to Bulgaria. Make sure you meet the people, and that you stay over a few days so you can taste some of the Slivovitza (alcohol).

  • The Swedish king was a general for Napoleon, but when awarded the throne of Sweden ... he left. :) Then, because Denmark-Norway sided with Napoleon, Sweden was given Norway as reparations, and so the French General / King built the castle. His royal name was King Karl Johan (born Jean Bernadotte). Or Carolus Rex III Iohannes, if you absolutely must have it in Latin.

  • Given by what you've seen, missing out on the fjords is ... yeah, it's still pretty bad. You've missed out on _a lot!_ xD The fjords are the nature that's most competing with Lofoten and the North.

  • Part of the reason so few bicycles are in use is because now peeps all use the scooters instead. Also the bikes are kinda expensive tbh, and there are fines for getting late and all bs like that. You can't use them like a _bike._ Strictly A to B travel, which is just sad. Didn't use to be like that, but when If ound out about it, I stopped using them.

    • Double Take Adventure Mirrors These *Double Take Adventure Mirrors* are not really essential, but I just love their design! I had them on both my Royal Enfield Himalayans and just wanted them again for my Honda. They are sturdier and a lot less likely to break off when you drop your motorcycle, but my motivation to buy these mirrors again is mainly because I find them looking cool and adventurous. www.doubletakemirror.com [⚠The amazon link does not work in several countries.] _____________________________________ Copy and paste from her homepage. www.itchyboots.com/bikers-guide/how-to-prepare-a-honda-cb500x-for-a-european-motorcycle-adventure

(Showing my age) Your ferry cabin will suit my needs, it is great to see they cater for me too, something that is lacking in most European countries but we are used to being forgotten like in this pandemic. Stayed in the Jaz Hotel next to the Ziggo Dome and Ajax stadium in Amsterdam, to see The Cure in 2016 and found the city the most inaccessible with infrastructure and peoples' poor attitudes in my wheelchair. I get a better response when out on my bikes and scooters lifting the wheelchair off and on!

Apart from that detail, I am glad you didn't get trapped by snow or ice up here. We have already had a cold spell with full on winter conditions even in the south, which you managed to avoid.
