  • If you're looking for video ideas, the inside of a DLP projector is pretty unreal and might make a nice cheap project, assuming you have macro lenses. It's got millions of tiny mirrors on a 2 inch surface that all move up to dozens of times per frame to make the color pixels. I'd be interested in seeing it in slow mo. There's one guy who's done it with strobe lights but I'd be curious to see it in fluid motion.

  • I've been an analogue motion film camera technician for over 35 years now and this is by far the best explanation of how an analogue motion picture camera works. My hats off to Gav in not only his spot-on understanding of the machanics of it all but for so perfectly using his digital and optical tools and skills to capture, edit and deliver that explanation!
