  • you, my good sir, are a poet. And your editor is a genius. This was brilliant. I always enjoy the way you explain things so eloquently and thoroughly. I ride a ZX-11, and have never thought about a Harley. But lately I find myself lusting after Indians (Especially that exquisite FTR1200). I blame you for that 😂🤙 Stay upright mate. Cheers 🍻

  • Power is derived from an equation, torque is a measured force. A CRB 600 makes more HP than a Street Glide 114, but try try doing a 300 mile ride with a 200 pound pillion on that CRB.

    Blair SimpkinsBlair Simpkins3 päivää sitten
  • The bike you’re comparing to a sportster should be compared against a SOFTAIL. My softtail makes over 50% percent more torque at half the rpm. Atleast compared apples to apples not apples to grapes. Indian offers a lot on paper for the money. But they do not hold their value and have significantly less aftermarket support.

  • Harley killed the V-Rod with typical Harley stupidity. They needed to put the motor in different models. A full up long mile highway cruiser with an upright very comfy sitting position, hard bags, a fantastic windscreen, the comfiest seat they can make and that takes care of the highway cruisers. A second model that is lighter weight with the same upright very comfy sitting position and comfy seat and great windscreen. Then a stripped version that is very lightweight, still very comfortable with an upright position with a removable windscreen and bags. There, three RIDEABLE bikes with about 80% parts commonality across all three. The V-Rod engine was a fantastic all purpose engine for higher performance cruising of all distances. But, Harley had to try and go with the stupid uncomfortable riding position, crap handlebars, no windscreen, no bags and a heavier than needed bike, all to satisfy the custom bike look that no one wants to really ride. They killed it off with stupidity. Harley bikes have so much done wrong with them that it is hard to believe they sell any. Oh well. they are going out of business by their own management decisions. Don't even get me started on how they have screwed up the Sportser models........

  • People often forget that most Harley riders own more than one bike, and many have owned MX and street bikes. I loved my ZX7R...when I was 25. But today I am twice that age, and I ride far more miles in my spare time. I need something that looks great, feels great, sounds great, and has enough stowage so I can transport all my drugs and guns easily. Something that tells the cops that if they pull me over, they may get shot. A Duc just doesn't cut it. No one is gonna buy guns or drugs off some dude who pulls up on a Diavel looking like a power ranger. He's too busy batting all the teenagers away drooling over the tank.

  • Harley-Davidson invented the belt drive. Harley-Davidson invented the 3 speed transmission. Harley-Davidson held the World Speed limit for many years at 129 mph. In 1973 Cal Rayborn took a stock Sportster frame and a works Harley motor over to England w/o factory support and he raced and beat every British Motorcycle on every English race track. BSA, Triumph and Norton. Professional racers on professional race tracks under a professional motorcycle racing sanctioned body. Some of it is here on You Tube. Brand Hatch etc etc. So to all you fuctardts. Fuck Off. WE got nothin to prove.

  • This is no different than Peterbilt. Guys pay extra for long hoods and lots of chrome. And THE name.... No trucker wants to drive a Japanese bullet train with a automatic. And owner operators need to think about value and resale. Which Peterbilt clubs the competition. Some models sell for more used than when sold new. Pre emission Cat 6NZ blocks and 18 speeds in a 379 Ext hood? That’s the ticket! Harley is the same. People don’t want something that copied Harley. They want a HARLEY.

Just when you thought the time of patriotism on wheels with saddlebags was over, along comes Indian and a couple of others to take Harleys place. Does patriotism... on its own, sell products any more? Imagine if the US tried to be competitive in quality, technology and engineering for once. Just ONCE. Then maybe there would be american cars and bikes on the international market. Wouldnt that be something to wave flags for. Imagine if "Made In America" stood for something again.
