I was actually a fan of Tati for years, when she posted the video I was confused as hell, and when james clapped back and everything turned towards her I knew she had a reason to risk her career against one of the most followed gurus, it made me think she had a serious reason to call him out and not just petty vitamins. Tati has always been an honest person with her fans, i donât think she just did it for clout or stuff like that. I guess this was it.
Honestly tho, just because she was right about him doesn't make her a good person, it doesn't change the fact that she called him out only after he promoted another brand, if she really was concerned about his behaviour she would have said something sooner but noooo she had to wait until he did something that bothered/perjudiced her at all to suddenly "want to do the right thing" These influencers are all bad apples falling from the same tree branch tbh

Am I the only one that hears "my obsession with finding love" and just dies inside? Someone in his position would have no trouble finding a suitable partner, if that were his intent. Hell he could hire a matchmaker to do it for him. He has been using this "desperate" image for so long because it keeps him relatable to his audience of hormonal middle/high school kids, even though it's entirely ingenuine.

I just made a parody video of the James Charles apology on my channel.
If the victims were girls I think thereâd be a big difference in how this was being handled. But because theyâre young boys and heâs James Charles heâs able to fly by it with apologies.
I think Tati's mistake was focusing more on him trying to hit on straight guys than underage guys and fans. Straight guys that are genuinely fully straight would likely not be turned whereas anyone questioning could easily, especially by someone they look up to. She should have focused on the age of these boys and their fan status not their sexuality. It's not talked about because they're not massively known but the Yogscast had 3 different members, one was the CEO being inappropriate with fans and underage fans - they left the company and are not spoken about now - this is how it should be, but it seems LA influencers and celebrities in general get away with everything and anything.

I'm not defending James at all, but I can relate. When I was 20, I dated a 17 year old.(this is legal in Canada with consent). It was a healthy a good relationship. No predatory or malicious intent. We met at work. And then she cheated on me with her high-school ex. The thing is. It's a maturity thing, people under 18, hell, even some people over 18, haven't matured enough or found out who they want to be, and what they want. So that is an immediate problem. Why is a 60 yes old dating a 24 year old ok, but a 20 year old dating a 16 or 17 year old not ok? From my experience, maturity. They haven't found themselves and don't know what they want in life when you as the older person, probably do. It just doesn't work. I then met my current fiance and mother of my child a few years later and my age range, and what I thought was healthy before, couldn't compare to how healthy my new relationship was, because we both knew what we wanted out of life
